What are good introductory phrases/topics of conversation to meet women?

I know first impressions are much more than what comes out of your mouth, but generally I get flustered meeting women, especially those I find attractive. What are some good conversation starters to get over this hump? I don’t need/want pick-up lines; just a few "go to" phrases to break the ice and confirm whether she is available, without sounding creepy.

    I’m sorry but if I give you good ice breakers you’re not going to use them anyway. Find a girl you really like but don’t talk to her. Try talking to girls you don’t like and you’l find that after talking to ten you don’t like that the one you like is always easier.
